A sociable group that is interested in all aspects of cathedrals and churches and welcomes everyone.

We look at all aspects including the history, architectural design, artefacts and current use as well as the spiritual aspects of the cathedrals and churches, and we visit as many as possible.

Since we formed in about 2020 we have visited 21 cathedrals/abbeys and 27 parish churches, including the mosque at Woking and the Eastern Orthodox Church at Brookwood.

We meet in St Mark’s for the first meeting of each term to discuss future plans and listen to presentations etc., then make visits on the next two meetings of each term.

Each year we undertake a Study Tour to visit a number of cathedrals.  In 2025 we were away for 5 days, travelling in our coach, staying in Somerset and visiting the abbeys at Sherborne and Bath, the cathedrals at Exeter, Wells and Bristol and the large parish church of St Mary Redcliffe in Bristol.
